Kela didn’t start thinking about pursuing opera until she was in college. When she found herself financially strapped, she joined the Army. That’s when she began to look at life differently. Maybe her dream of being an opera singer wasn’t as important as she once thought. A soldier seemed like a much nobler calling. Keeping people safe was her new goal in life. “Safety is why we can dream,” she said. But today is her day to be selfish. Kela was given the chance to test drive the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. Not only did she get the drive of a lifetime, but also got a shot at her dreams. Kela was given the opportunity to sing onstage at the San Francisco Opera House with soprano soloist Carrie Hennessey. How will it feel to fulfill her lifelong dream? Was it all she had hoped for? Watch Kela’s story to find out how far her ambition can take her.
